The last few weeks…

February 19th, 2008

What a busy time we’ve been having. On 24th January we went up to Durham Uni to play with Pendulum and Skream at the Subotica night. The crowd got well into the vibe of d’n'b being done by live musicians. Slightly dissappointed that Pendulum was only a DJ set, we would have loved to see the full band. Big thanks to the promoters for treating us so well.
The week after that Ana gave birth to a lovely baby boy! Much love to her and her new family.

February 8th saw us playing the Raise the Roof festival at Leeds West Indian Centre. An exellent atmosphere with cool people and a rig from Purple Pro Audio that you wouldn’t believe.

Our next gig is a Unity Day fundraiser on Tues 4th March at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. Get yourself down there because not only is it for a good cause but you’ll also be able to see Tarentum, Mr Beasley and Cowtown.

2007 has been a brilliant year for Hayashi. We’ve done festivals, we’ve supported amazing bands and our recent London debut @ The Rhythm Factory was a fantastic success. We couldn’t have done all this without all your support so thanks to all you members of the Hayashi family!
Let’s make 2008 an even better year shall we? Keep ‘em peeled as we’ve got some good gigs lined up and we intend to be making noise in various cities around the country.

November 28th, 2007

Yes, we’re coming down to Old London Town. It’s a No Rest for The Wicked event at the Rhythm Factory, Whitechapel Road, E1 on Friday 14th December. It’s a night dedicated to putting on live D’n'B so it should be a blast.

Take a look at our Reviews page to see the write up that ‘badmachine’ received in October’s issue of Sandman. There’s also a review of our appearance at the Leeds Carling Festival (and a cool picture of Mwen) in the same issue.
There’s also a review of the same gig in The Fly. Turn to Page 70 on the web mag!
Wait, there’s more. Check out our mention on BBC Leeds website ‘Live in Leeds’ section.
